Cheapest Business Mobile Deals UK

The cheapest business mobile deal is rarely the plan with the lowest headline price. It is the plan that gives each person the data and coverage they actually need, on terms that do not rise unexpectedly, for the lowest total cost over the contract. Compare The Networks compares business mobile deals from EE, O2, Vodafone and Three and sends you written options side by side, free and with no obligation.

How to get the cheapest business mobile deal

1. Go SIM only if your phones still work

If your team already has phones that are in good condition, a SIM only plan is almost always the lowest cost option, because you pay for airtime only. See our business SIM only deals page for how to compare them.

2. Match data to each person

Paying for unlimited data on every line is one of the most common ways businesses overspend. Look at the usage on your current bills and group people by role. Light users who mainly call, text and email need far less than staff who tether a laptop all day. If most of your team are light users, our guide to low cost business SIM only plans explains the options.

3. Put every line on one business account

Networks generally price business accounts by the number of lines and the total spend. Bringing all your lines onto one account, with one bill and one end date, puts you in a better position when you ask for a quote and makes the next renewal easier to manage.

4. Ask about shared data

Several networks offer shared or pooled data on business accounts. When a few heavy users sit alongside many light users, a pool can cost less than giving everyone a large allowance.

5. Choose handsets by role

Not every role needs the newest flagship phone. Previous generation models, mid-range phones and refurbished handsets from reputable suppliers can cut the cost of a handset contract or of buying phones outright. Compare a handset contract with buying the phone outright and adding a SIM only plan over the same term.

6. Reclaim the VAT

Business mobile prices are quoted excluding VAT. If your business is VAT registered, you can usually reclaim the VAT on your bills, and the contract is normally an allowable business expense. Check with your accountant how this applies to you.

7. Read the price rise terms

Since 17 January 2025, Ofcom rules mean new mobile contracts must set out any price rises during the contract in pounds and pence, rather than as an inflation-linked percentage. Compare the total cost across the whole term, including any stated rises, not just the first monthly charge.

8. Check coverage first

A cheap plan on a network with weak signal where your team works is a false economy. Use each network's official coverage checker for your office, sites and home workers before you choose.

Cheapest is not just the monthly price

When the written offers come back, compare them on the same basis:

All of our business contracts run for a minimum of 24 months, and every offer is set out in writing before you agree to anything.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cheapest business mobile deal in the UK?

It depends on how many lines you need, how much data each person uses and which network works best where you are. For most businesses, the lowest cost option is a SIM only plan with data matched to each user. We compare all four networks and send you the cheapest suitable options in writing.

Is SIM only cheaper than a business phone contract?

Usually, because you pay for airtime only. If you need new phones, compare the total cost of buying handsets outright plus SIM only against a handset contract over the same term.

Are cheap business mobile deals reliable?

Lower cost plans run on the same network as more expensive plans from the same provider. The difference is normally the data allowance and extras such as roaming, not the quality of the signal.

Can I get a cheaper deal by adding more lines?

Networks price business accounts by number of lines and total spend, so putting all your lines on one account can help. Ask for a quote for all of your lines together.

Can I keep my numbers if I switch to a cheaper deal?

Yes. Text PAC to 65075 from each phone to get a PAC code, which is valid for 30 days. Your new provider uses it to move your number, usually on the next working day.
