The buying view

Choose around the work. A bigger screen, a pen or a folding display earns its premium when it helps with a task your staff repeat.

The specifications and the price

Same 256GB storage tier. Samsung prices are UK launch RRPs; Apple prices were checked on 10 September 2026. All include VAT. On small screens, scroll the table sideways.

Compare the handset cost across your team

256GB reference prices including VAT, checked 10 September 2026. Samsung: UK launch RRP. Apple: advertised UK price. Airtime, promotions, accessories and services are excluded.

Option A

Galaxy S26

£8,790.00

10 handsets × £879.00 including VAT

£36.63 per handset/month as a budget equivalent over 24 months.

Option B

Galaxy S26 Ultra

£12,790.00

10 handsets × £1,279.00 including VAT

£53.29 per handset/month as a budget equivalent over 24 months.

Option B is £400.00 more per handset.

£4,000.00 more across the team

That difference is £16.67 per handset/month over 24 months as a budget equivalent.

Monthly equivalents divide the handset price by the selected period. They are not finance or contract offers. Compare the supplier’s full payment schedule separately; do not add handset RRP again if the quote already includes the device.

How to use this comparison

Choose two phones in the calculator, set the number of handsets and see the difference across the team. The reference prices use the same 256GB storage tier and include VAT. Samsung figures are published UK launch RRPs; Apple figures are its advertised UK prices checked on 10 September 2026. They give you a consistent starting point before supplier discounts, airtime or service charges.

Open a detailed guide below for the differences a specification list cannot settle: carrying comfort, camera work, application layout, platform changes and repair arrangements. The full phone library also includes Google Pixel, OnePlus and other Apple models beyond this focused comparison.

Three sensible routes to a shortlist

Everyday mobile work: calls, email, authentication and routine apps rarely justify choosing the most expensive device for everyone. Compare a standard S26 with a suitable lower-cost or existing supported phone. The iPhone 17e guide and Pixel 11 guide give you alternative starting points.

Specialist work: photography, annotating drawings or reviewing documents may justify different hardware. Ask the employee to complete a real task on the proposed phone. Look at the quality of the finished work and the steps needed to produce it.

Folding screens: compare a normal working day with the screen open and closed. A larger canvas is useful only if the actual CRM, spreadsheet or document app uses it effectively. Include a case, repair route and replacement device in the decision.

Turn a shortlist into comparable quotes

Send each supplier the same models, storage, line count, network coverage requirements and data allowance. Specify the same contract length and ask for the complete schedule of payments, including annual changes. List setup, accessories, management subscriptions and support separately.

A handset RRP is not a monthly business deal. Use the reference-price comparison to decide which models deserve a quote; use the supplier's written totals to decide which contract to buy. Read how specifications and price translate into value before making the final choice.

Keep the fleet manageable

A mixed fleet can work well when the exceptions are deliberate. Record which roles need a premium phone, which need a standard model and which can keep their current device. Pilot enrolment, authentication, coverage and charging before a wider rollout.

Compare The Networks compares business mobile options from EE, Vodafone, O2 and Three. Bring a shortlist and the renewal dates so the resulting proposal can cover both the device and the service.

Common buying questions

Are these monthly contract prices?

No. They are 256GB handset reference prices including VAT. Samsung figures are UK launch RRPs and Apple figures are advertised UK prices checked on 10 September 2026. Airtime and supplier terms are quoted separately.

Can I compare a fleet of different phones?

Use the calculator for each group of staff, then combine the group totals. Ask for a written quote showing the quantity, storage and support requirements for each model.

Does the cheapest handset make the cheapest contract?

Not necessarily. Compare upfront and recurring charges, contractual price changes, allowances and required services over the same term.

Where are Pixel and other phone options?

The latest phone library includes Pixel, OnePlus and other iPhones. This interactive comparison focuses on the new Apple Pro and Duo models and Samsung S26 and foldable ranges.
