Samsung Enterprise Edition UK: What Is Included?

Enterprise Edition can make a Samsung fleet easier to plan and support. The buying decision comes down to the exact device, the support package and the software licences in your UK quote.

What to know before you choose

  • Ask for the Enterprise Edition product code, not just the Galaxy model name.
  • Check the support end date from launch, the warranty conditions and the cost of any Knox subscription.
  • Keep hardware, airtime, management software and setup services as separate quote lines.

What is Samsung Enterprise Edition?

Enterprise Edition is Samsung's business package for selected Galaxy devices. It combines a specified device variant with business support and lifecycle provisions. It is a useful option when you want repeatable purchasing, a defined repair route and a planned deployment across several employees.

It does not mean every consumer Galaxy is unsuitable for work. A standard handset can still be an appropriate choice where its update policy, warranty and management capabilities meet your requirements. Compare the actual packages before paying a premium.

Samsung's UK Enterprise Edition page advertises a three-year warranty and enhanced product lifecycle. Its next-business-day exchange has conditions: a valid warranty claim, booking with the Business Service Centre before 2pm on a business day, Samsung Gold Stock and exclusions including accidental damage. Put the applicable terms alongside your quote.

Do you automatically get a free year of Knox Suite?

Ask for the current UK entitlement in writing. Samsung's global Knox documentation describes a renewable one-year licence, but explicitly says offerings vary by country or region. An offer may depend on a qualifying licence purchase. A reference to Enterprise Edition by itself is not enough to establish that all management software is included for your whole mobile contract.

Request the plan name, licence duration, activation process, any qualifying purchase and renewal cost. Match those dates to your intended device ownership period. A software subscription and a mobile airtime agreement are different commitments.

Our Knox guide explains the difference between the phone's security platform and tools used by an administrator to enrol and manage a fleet.

Count support from launch

The date you buy a phone does not restart its manufacturer support period. When comparing an older Galaxy with a newer one, record the remaining support, not simply a headline number of years.

For each proposed product code, ask for the security maintenance end date, operating-system upgrade commitment and update cadence. Enterprise Edition terms vary by model. Avoid assuming every Galaxy A, S, Fold and rugged device has an identical policy.

Plan the rollout before the delivery

  1. Choose who owns the administrator accounts and keeps the device register.
  2. Agree whether devices are fully managed, shared or supplied with a work profile.
  3. Confirm the enrolment route with your IT provider and handset supplier.
  4. Pilot the business apps, sign-in, Wi-Fi, VPN and recovery process on a small group.
  5. Record who handles warranty faults, accidental damage, lost phones and leavers.

QuickStart or setup support should have a written scope. Establish whether it covers initial configuration, user training, enrolment or continuing administration. Do not assume buying Enterprise Edition makes ongoing IT management automatic.

What to send with your quote request

Include the number of devices, preferred model and storage, work locations, renewal date and existing management software. If you need the same handset for new starters, explain your expected purchasing schedule. Specify Enterprise Edition where it is a requirement.

Compare total cost over the proposed term: handset, airtime, setup, software renewal, accessories and repair provision. Business mobile contracts through Compare The Networks have a minimum 24-month term.

Frequently asked questions

Is Enterprise Edition the same as the EE network?

No. Enterprise Edition is a Samsung device package. EE is a mobile network. Check the device edition and the network independently.

Does every Enterprise Edition phone have the same benefits?

No. The product code, country, device launch date and applicable offer determine the package. Confirm each item in your UK quote.

Is accidental damage part of the warranty?

Do not assume so. Samsung excludes accidental damage from the next-business-day warranty exchange described on its UK Enterprise Edition page. Ask for separate repair or damage-cover options.

Do software updates run from the day I buy the phone?

Manufacturer support periods are normally measured from the relevant launch date. Check the remaining support for the exact device before buying.
