What to know before you choose
- Note Assist and Transcript Assist can support meeting follow-up, with human checking.
- Galaxy S26 Call Screening helps an individual user see who is calling and why.
- Feature availability, languages, accounts and online processing differ. Check the exact workflow.

Turn a meeting into useful follow-up
Samsung's Note Assist helps with formatting and summarising notes. Transcript Assist can turn supported voice recordings into text. Together they offer a useful route from a conversation to a draft action list.
For a pilot, use a non-sensitive internal discussion that everyone is happy to record. Produce the transcript, check names and technical terms, then draft the summary. Assign a person to verify decisions and actions before sharing it. A fluent summary can still omit an important qualification.
Save the approved result in the place your team already uses for meeting records. Decide who keeps the original recording, who can access it and when it is removed. Follow your organisation's recording policy.
Screen an incoming call when you cannot answer immediately
On the Galaxy S26 series, Call Screening lets an assistant ask who is calling and what the call concerns. The user can read the exchange and choose to take over. Our Call Screening setup guide explains the controls and the checks worth making for a business number.
Start with manual screening. A new customer may call from an unrecognised number, so test the experience before enabling automatic screening for unknown callers. The handset feature should be assessed alongside your usual business call handling.
Draft, translate and search with a review step
Writing and translation tools can help an employee prepare a first draft or understand the gist of a message. Have a person check customer names, amounts, dates and the intended meaning before sending it. For material where precise wording matters, use an appropriate review process.
Search and image tools should also be tested with realistic work. Finding a product from an image can start a comparison, but the result still needs checking against the actual specification or supplier information.
Check what happens to the data
Samsung provides Galaxy AI settings, including an option to process supported data on the device. Enabling that option can limit features that need online processing. It does not make every third-party assistant or application on the phone operate offline.
Ask the team responsible for IT to review the exact apps, accounts and settings being deployed. Test the permitted workflow with company policies applied, rather than demonstrating it on an unrestricted personal device and assuming the results will be identical.
Availability and cost
Samsung says its basic Galaxy AI features are free, while future advanced features and third-party services can have different terms. Check the current conditions for the particular tool. Avoid treating every AI feature on a Galaxy as one service with a single permanent entitlement.
Support can vary by model, software version, language and region. Some functions require a Samsung account and an internet connection. The Galaxy A series' AI offering should not be assumed to match every feature on the S26 series.
A simple rollout exercise
Pick two tasks for a small group of employees, such as preparing meeting actions and handling a call during a meeting. Measure whether the reviewed result is useful and whether the workflow fits the business's account and data rules.
Document the settings and limitations that worked in the pilot. Give employees a short guide showing both how to use the feature and when they should pause for human review. Then decide which Samsung models are worth including in the wider quote.
Frequently asked questions
Is all Galaxy AI processed on the phone?
No. Processing requirements differ by feature. The on-device setting can limit functions that need online services and does not govern every third-party app.
Can it write accurate meeting minutes automatically?
It can help create a transcript and draft summary, but a person should check speakers, decisions, numbers and actions before treating the result as the approved record.
Will a Galaxy A phone have every S26 AI feature?
Do not assume that. Check the particular feature, model, software, account and language requirements.
Are Galaxy AI features free?
Samsung describes its basic Galaxy AI features as free. Advanced features introduced later and third-party AI services may have different terms. Check the tool you plan to use.
